Welcome to the Chinese Alumni Association of TU Clausthal!

The Clausthal University of Technology Chinese Alumni Association (VCAC), is a people's organization voluntarily established in 2015 by Chinese alumni who have returned from Germany. Its aim is to strengthen the connection between alumni and between alumni and Clausthal University of Technology, to inspire alumni to carry forward Clausthal University of Technology's excellent traditions of pragmatism and entrepreneurship, and to contribute to the development and prosperity of both countries through increased cooperation and exchanges between Germany and China.

Over the past forty years, Clausthal University of Technology has already trained thousands of alumni for China, including outstanding representatives such as Gang Wan, Vice President of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Chinese Science and Technology Association, Delong Xu, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Huibin Xu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

At the annual board meeting on January 3, 2024, the VCAC completed important board elections for the next rotation. These new elections not only represent an update of the organizational structure, but also mark an important milestone in the development history of the alumni association. The members of the new board include Chairman Zhengmeng Hou, Managing Partner Yuezhong Li, Vice Chairman Lei Zhou, Secretary General Furui Xi, Deputy Secretary General Mengyi Zeng and board members Cheng Cao, Liangchao Huang and Qichen Wang.

The new Board elected in January 2024 expresses its sincere gratitude for the pioneering work and outstanding contributions of the previous Board. Under the leadership of Honorary Chairmen Delong Xu and Huibin Xu, and through the joint efforts of the four Vice Chairmen Zhimin Du, Weimin Xue, Yefang Zhang, Zhengmeng Hou and Secretary General Lifeng Zhang, TU Clausthal China Alumni Association has achieved a series of remarkable successes since its establishment in early 2015. Their hard work and selfless dedication have laid a solid foundation for the further development of the Alumni Association. To thank all the outgoing members of the previous Board and to continue to utilize their advisory and leadership roles, the new Board unanimously passed the following resolution: Huibin Xu, former President of Beihang University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is appointed Honorary Chairman; Lifeng Zhang, President of North China University of Technology, Zhimin Du, former President of Southwest Petroleum University, Aimin Xue, General Manager of Beijing Paterson Technology Development Co, Ltd, and Yefang Zhang, General Manager of Dalian Schneider Modern Logistics Co, Ltd, are appointed Honorary Members.

The new board will continue to pursue the philosophy of "Preserving Tradition, Promoting Innovation, Strengthening Cooperation, Achieving Shared Success", strive to strengthen the connection between alumni and with the alma mater, promote the exchange of resources and jointly increase the global impact of Clausthal University of Technology.
