2000 masks for mouth and nose protection donated by our Chinese partner university Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST)

Kunming University of Science and Technology has donated 2000 unique medical protective masks to Clausthal University of Technology's China Competence Center.

Kunming University of Science and Technology has donated 2,000 unique medical protective masks to the China Competence Center at Clausthal University of Technology. The first packages of 1,500 masks arrived on April 28 and May 4 and the rest are still on their way.

The cooperation between KUST and Clausthal University of Technology has existed since 2016, with around 12 KUST students currently studying the 1+2 Master's programs in Clausthal. Since 2018, around 20 lecturers have regularly attended six-week training programs at Clausthal University of Technology. Last year, 17 KUST students and two supervisors attended a two-week Winter School in Clausthal. During the courses, the guests were also able to establish scientific contacts with TUC researchers and lecturers, which will subsequently lead to German-Chinese research projects (Prof. Oliver Langefeld and Prof. Zhengmeng Hou together with Prof. Kepeng Hou and Prof. Wei Sun: Pumped storage power station in old mines and blue mining; Prof. Wolfgang Schade together with Ms. Prof. Yingjie Zhang and Prof. Peng Dong: Second life of batteries; Prof. Thomas Turek and Prof. Ulrich Kunz together with Ms. Prof. Yingjie Zhang and Ms. Prof. Mingli Xu: Catalyst optimization for fuel cells).
