Delegation from Yunnan Province visits TU Clausthal

On November 27, 2033, the Vice Chairman of the Education Department in Yunnan Province, Prof. Dr. CHEN Shibo, together with Prof. Dr. PAN Bo, Vice President of Kunming University of Science and Technology and four other representatives of Yunnan Province visited Clausthal University of Technology.

During a joint tour of wintry Clausthal, they visited the library, the market church, the main building and the auditorium. Afterwards, the guests met Prof. Dr. Hanschke, Prof. Dr. Palkowski and the team from the China Competence Center to discuss further cooperation with the province and Kunming University in particular. In his welcoming address, Prof. Hanschke emphasized that what was special - and at the time unique - about the cooperation in this case was "that a cooperation agreement had been concluded not with a university, but with a province." The focus of the agreement signed in 2016 was and is the exchange of students and teaching staff. Following the coronavirus-related restrictions of previous years, the aim is to pick up on this again and attract students for summer and winter schools as well as acquire lecturers as part of continuing education programs. The talks are to be intensified during the delegation's visit to Kunming University from 10.12. to 13.12.2023.
