Greeting from President Dr. Schattauer on the Chinese Spring Festival 2024

Dear colleagues from our Chinese partner universities, dear alumni and dear students,

On behalf of Clausthal University of Technology, I would like to wish you all the best, good luck and, above all, good health for the Chinese Spring Festival and the Year of the Dragon. In China, the dragon is held in particularly high esteem and is considered to be assertive and courageous.

Dragons are very happy to take on new challenges and are not afraid to take risks. At the end of the year, I also took on a new challenge and was delighted to take on the role of President of Clausthal University of Technology. I am very pleased about my new tasks, which I would like to take on together with you. As you all know,
we have all been confronted with special challenges in recent years. I would like to use the positive quality of the dragon and look to a shared future with courage, optimism and zest for action. A future in which we can further strengthen and expand the friendship and cooperation we have built up over many years. In my relatively short time in office, I have already had the pleasure of welcoming delegations from our partner universities here in Clausthal several times as President. I look forward to meeting more partners in person in the future and wish you all the best until then and, above all, stay healthy!
