Professor Hou Zhengmeng visited Kunming University of Technology and met with the Director of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province

On March 23, Hou Zhengmeng, full professor of Clausthal University of Technology, member of the German Academy of Geosciences and Geotechnical Engineering and senior visiting professor of Kunming University of Technology, visited the City College of Kunming University of Technology and participated in the seminar.

During the visit, Prof. Hou Zhengmeng gave a lecture entitled "Current situation and prospects of German dual higher education" to the teachers and students. Prof. Hou Zhengmeng presented four aspects: Comparison of engineering higher education and vocational education between China and Germany, current situation and outlook of German dual vocational education, current situation of vocational education cooperation and innovative cooperation of vocational education, based on his own experience in Germany. During the seminar, they discussed in detail the idea of introducing German teaching methods in vocational education.

On March 24, Prof. Hou Zhengmeng and his delegation met with Wang Xueqin, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province, and had a discussion and exchange on the innovative utilization and industrialization of hydrogen energy.

At the meeting, Prof. Hou Zhengmeng introduced the current situation and industrialization of green hydrogen energy production, large-scale storage and reusable applications, and put forward the main key problems and industrialization proposals that need to be solved for the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Yunnan. Wang Xueqin expressed that he welcomed Prof. Hou Zhengmeng to carry out industrialization research on the development and utilization of hydrogen energy in Yunnan, strengthen cooperation with Kunming University of Technology and related enterprises, and combine the idea of industrialization of hydrogen energy with the actual situation in Yunnan to promote the green and innovative development of Yunnan.
