LUT students take part in summer exchange at TU Clausthal

Clausthal-Zellerfeld : Last week, several students from Lanzhou University of Technology (LUT), a new partner university of Clausthal University of Technology, visited the two-week exchange program "Summer School" of the Research Center for Energy Storage Technologies (EST) from 28 July to 9 August 2019. Upon their arrival, the Chinese students were first welcomed by Vice President Shenk-Mathes and Prof. Hou. This was immediately followed by the first lectures on studying at Clausthal University of Technology and the German education system in general.

Throughout the week, lectures and seminars were held in various areas of petroleum engineering. The downstream sector of the petroleum industry and processes in the petroleum industry were some of the subject-specific topics, but lectures were also given on German culture and studying at Clausthal University of Technology. Excursions to Airbus in Hamburg and Volkswagen in Wolfsburg were the highlights of the summer exchange.
In addition to these busy topics, there was also plenty of free time. The exchange students were able to marvel at the World Heritage Site of the Upper Harz Water Regal on a guided tour and spend two days exploring Berlin before their return flight.
