Participation of the China Competence Center in the fifth Clausthal-Zellerfeld City Festival
The China Competence Center took part in the fifth Clausthal City Festival again this year.
Once again this year, the China Competence Center took part in the fifthClausthal City Festival. On Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16, the Competence Center introduced Chinese culture to the many visitors. At the information stand in front of the TU main building, interested visitors exchanged information about Chinese culture and their experiences and stays in China.
From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the stand offered a variety of activities every day at the same time:
- The Art of Calligraphy: calligraphy is considered a highly respected artistic form in Chinese culture. Visitors could learn the art of Chinese calligraphy. Using paint, brushes and under the guidance of Chinese staff, some visitors managed to do this quite well. In addition, a member of staff made professional calligraphies of visitors' names. A nice souvenir of the city festival.
- Coloring pictures for children: The young visitors painted pictures depicting Chinese cities and attractions such as the Terracotta Warriors or the Shanghai skyline.
- Chinese tea: Chinese tea culture is an important part of Chinese culture. Green tea and chamomile tea were offered free of charge to every visitor.
The program was accompanied by traditional Chinese music, bringing a piece of Chinese culture to the city festival. Information material such as books and maps of some of China's major cities were also on display. Thanks to the good weather, several hundred visitors came and showed great interest in Chinese culture. Due to the high level of interest, the China Competence Center will also be present at next year's Clausthal City Festival and bring a piece of Chinese culture to Clausthal.
